due to my shapely thighs, i’m not sure that i would attempt the fall trend of leather shorts (easily found at your local consignment shop if you’re not willing to drop upwards of $500 at a department store), but this girl pulled them off. she also added a fringed purse and anorak, two more of this season’s “in” pieces, and tied it all together with a floppy brown hat and matching booties.
i love me some badgley mischka in the morning, don’t you? there was enough icy blue to fill an ocean, enough ruffles to out-ruffle dolly parton, enough floral accents to make a florist keel over in ecstasy. though some dresses bordered on oh-don’t-you-like-my-prom-dress?-it-was-my-mom’s, a majority were lovely.
it’s not shocking and about damn time: the infamous isabel marant otway boot ($1,295) has been ripped off by forever21 ($32.80). what took ya’ll so long?
speaking of shoe collaborations, rachel antonoff revealed her own project with bass on the feet of the models at her spring 2011 collection “sleepover.” the bass heart rachel antonoff is an adorable line of penny loafers, oxfords and the classic americana of footwear. i can’t wait until these are available!
i think that snookers is the only person on the planet who can include fuzzy slippers into everyday outfits. i personally hate fuzzy slippers on my HUGE feet.
however, these are bunnicula slippers. and bunnicula will always remind me of being 8 and that one christmas it actually SNOWED in upstate new york and my dog shamus and my awful buck teeth and how i used to love going to lloyd’s superstore on sundays and seeing eggbert at devitts and just being a little kid again.
i’m having A DAY.
pass me a pillow and blanket because vera wang’s spring 2011 rtw runway show was a snoozefest. what was with all that ruching? and all that tulle? and all that ruching and tulle, together? come on, vera. you know better than that, girl.
